Oyster Roast and Cake and Pie Auction

Mark your calendar for January 8th for our annual Oyster Roast and Cake and Pie Auction.
Hold on for those of you who don’t enjoy oysters, there will be shrimp and chicken tenders along with cheese and crackers, slaw, hushpuppies and tea.  
  • Time: 3-5:30
  • Where: Cotton Barn on Laurie Ellis Road in Winterville
  • Cost: $50 adults & $15 for children all inclusive
  • Live music provided by David Cox
  • Cash bar wine and beer

We can take a card over the phone or if you’ve responded you may pay at the door. 
The caterer requires a hard number prior to the event and unfortunately that means no ticket sales day of the event.
 Cake and Pie Auction
Get your apron on and channel your inner baker
We need cakes and pies to auction. This a great fundraiser for our club.  We need 12-16 sumptuous and delicious offerings.  Layer cakes, pound cakes, pies,  loaf cake and sweet breads have commanded top dollar in years past. 
As before items are to be brought to my home either on a cake board or a disposable plate.  Then it will be festively packaged for sale on January 6th and 7th. Times TBD.  Once you decide what you’d like to contribute, please let me know.  While a double chocolate is divine we don’t need 10, we need variety.  Carrot, Almond Pound Cake, Hummingbird Cake, Chocolate Pecan and Lemon Pound Cake have sold well in the past.  So far a Chocolate Espresso and Red Velvet cake have been donated as well as a pecan pie.
These need to be homemade or from scratch baker. If baking is not your thing, you may have a friend or neighbor to help you out.  Please no boxed cakes, canned frosting or cakes from Sam’s or the grocery store.
